Step-by-Step Recipe
    Step 1: Prepare the Mixture
    1. In a large mixing bowl, add shredded beetroot, mashed potato, and smashed tofu. Mix well until combined.
Step 2: Add Vegetables & Flavor
    1. Now add chopped onion, grated carrot, coriander leaves, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste. Give it a nice stir so all flavors blend together.
Step 3: Add Crunch & Spices
    1. Add crushed roasted peanuts and sesame seeds for crunch. Then season with white salt, black salt, chili flakes, cumin powder, whole spice powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
    Step 4: Bind the Mixture

    Step 7: Serve Hot

    FAQs About Beetroot Skewers

    1. Are Beetroot Skewers healthy?

Yes! These skewers are packed with iron, fiber, protein, and antioxidants from beetroot, tofu, and nuts. They’re a much healthier alternative to fried snacks.

    2. Can I bake these skewers instead of grilling?

Absolutely. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 15–18 minutes, brushing lightly with butter or oil for crispiness.

    3. Can I make these vegan?

Yes, this recipe is already vegan since it uses tofu instead of paneer or cheese, and butter can easily be replaced with olive oil or vegan butter.

    4. What can I serve with Beetroot Skewers?

They pair wonderfully with green chutney, mint yogurt dip, or even a tangy tamarind sauce. Onion rings and lemon wedges make them even better.

    5. How do I make them kid-friendly?

Skip or reduce the green chili and chili flakes. Kids love the slightly sweet flavor of beetroot, so it’s a fun way to add veggies to their diet.

    6. Can I replace tofu in this recipe?

Yes, you can replace tofu with paneer (cottage cheese) or even chickpea flour for extra binding if tofu isn’t available.

    7. Do Beetroot Skewers work for weight loss?

Yes, since they are low in calories and rich in fiber, they keep you full for longer without being heavy, making them a great option for weight-conscious eaters.
